Principal’s Message

Thank you for a great 2025-2026 school year. As we head into the July 4th Holiday. I am wishing you all a festive fun-filled 4th. 


America 250 Passbooks are here

In honor of America 250--Suffolk County is encouraging youth to explore the various landmarks and historical sites related to America's Independence from Britain and Long Islands role in the struggle. 

All students can pick up special America 250 passbooks from the Intermediate School 
1) Please visit as many sites as possible and get a stamp on each page in the book!
2) For any students with a complete passbook they can return it to the Intermediate School at any time until October 1 for a special award.

Summer Academy

SIS's summer academy will begin Monday July 6th @ 9:00am. Summer Academy will run Monday through Friday until August 7th. All students attending this summer that has requested transportation will be assigned a summer bus route. Transportation will reach out directly to families for pick up and drop off times. 

Summer Food Program 

Southampton Schools offers free breakfast and lunch to anyone under 18 years old during summer (7/6-8/13)

Stony Brook Cares: Summer Student Groups 

These Virtual Groups begin the first week of July. If you are interested for your child please contact the CARE line at (631) 638-1111


Summer Scaries-- 8 week group tackling the anxiety, worries, and concerns with returning to the classroom
(Middle School group --Monday's @ 11am) 

Middle School 101 For students ages 10–12 transitioning to middle school. Participants will develop coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, executive functioning skills, and tools for building healthy peer relationships. (Tuesdays at 11 AM)

Girls Empowerment Group For girls ages 12–14.
This skills-based group helps participants build self-confidence, emotional awareness, healthy coping skills, and positive peer relationships through guided activities and discussion. (Thursdays at 11 AM) 


Summer Reading Challenge 
There is still time to sign up for the Superintendent's summer reading challenge
